Jessie Mcdonald

Jessie McDonald is a master’s student working in Dr. Noël’s lab. She’s diving deep into how copper materials corrode when they come into contact with bentonite clay. Jessie uses some cool tools for her experiments, like pressure cells and special modules that mimic conditions in boreholes and oceans. This allows her to test things out in really unique conditions that you won’t find in most labs.

She’s particularly good at electrochemistry and surface analysis, skills that give her an edge in her research. Jessie’s work is important because it helps us understand how copper behaves in different environments, which can be crucial for all sorts of applications.
