I am Grace Temitope Ajayi, a doctoral student in the Noël lab co-supervised by Dr. Desmond Moser at Western University. I obtained a BSc. (2015) and an MSc (2019) in Industrial Chemistry at Osun State University and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, respectively. My research focuses on investigating the corrosion resistance of natural copper as analogues to manufactured copper utilized in coated steel containers in the deep geologic repository for the long-term disposal of nuclear fuel. The primary goal of this research is to study the surface and electrochemical behaviour of natural copper compared to manufactured copper, which is already under study. I enjoy listening to music and baking in my leisure time.
